The Themed Entertainment Association @ Notre Dame’s Team qualified for the in the 2023 Toronto Metropolitan Thrill Design Invitational Competition. Competing in two design challenges in less than 48 hours, the team of 5 was composed of 3 mechanical engineers, 1 computer engineer, 2 industrial designers, and 1 architect.

This competition allows for young professionals to competition in fast pace design challenges pitched to executives with the Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Creative.

The TEA@ND team was lead by Elie Zinsmeister and was recognized for participation in for the attraction with interactive element and attraction with environmental constraint.

Through this competition she was able to produce 21 pieces of concept art, create 5 SolidWorks feasibility models, delegate tasks to teammates, and compile two pitches of original ride concepts.
