A wacky concept turned reality by a team of 8 designers and engineers, Blizzard Lizard is sure to leave you guessing with high speeds, turns, and spins!

This model rollercoaster placed 2nd nationally at the 2024 Ride Engineering Competition hosted in-person at Carowinds.

Operating for 8 Hours to ASTM Standards!

Elie oversaw the safety and compliance aspect of the competition creating a full ASTM F24 2291-23 compliance document and detailed Risk Assessment of the ride.

This included in overseeing the design in SolidWorks and fabrication of the 3D printed track, as well as conducting material strength testing for the final Safety Report.

The final ride consisted of two motorized turntables and the ride vehicle had class 4 restraint systems for the Starburst riders.
